Diva challenge

Had a lot if fun playing with colors this week on the water inspired challenge. I used water color pencils and a colored pencil blender pen.  I also used gelly roll pens on the top of the tile. As I was making the tile I didn't think I would like it but it has grown in me ;). This tile was very quickly done and only took a few minutes. 

Weekend Fun!

I have had a good time this weekend on a new ZIA. I took a large piece of colorful paper and cut it in four and tried to make each one different.

Challenge tile

I did this one first but I was not ver happy with how it turned out. You can tell I had been feeling stressed and my lines are hurried. One on the things I love about zentangling is that if I do it while worried or stressed I may not like the way the tile looks but I feel better after exercising some of those nerves.

I decided to try again but I was still not in love with the tile:

 With the pattern still floating in my head I later used it on my current  ZIA and I like it much better. It is still a work in progress ( I know I cheat with pencils and erasers on my large pages but I don't on my tiles and/or challenges) :)

Had a good time with the small size. 

Color

I saw this center design done by someone else and I wanted to give it a try. I don't do a lot of botanical designs but I enjoyed this and decided to add color. I will post the design both before and after color. 

 

Hobby lobby boxes

I went to hobby lobby last weekend and I bought 2 small boxes for 1.99 each. This morning I used water color pencils and my micron pens. It was a lot of fun and I will post pictures if the square box when I finish it. 

I didn't take a picture of the round box before I started but here is the square one to give you an idea of how it started. 

I am happy with the top and will use this design again 

I am not happy with the sides. Nothing really wrong with it but it's kinda sloppy. 

Challenge. Tiles

Kieko and roscoe. I did mess up a little on roscoe but I had fun playing with my new color pens.
